The former Spitfires boss will take charge of the team again alongside Jason Bristow after the club parted company with Lee Bradbury and his assistant Brian Stock.
It has been a slower than expecting start to the season for the club after a positive summer of recruitment. The club are winless in their first five matches and the decision was made to make a change.
Friday night’s 2-0 defeat to Southend United saw the former Havant boss became the first National League manager to lose his job this season.
Hill and Bristow get the chance to earn the club’s first victory of the season when they face Hampshire foes Aldershot Town.
The game, which kicks-off at 3pm, will be broadcast live on TNT Sports.
Bradbury took over at Eastleigh in February 2022, following the departure of Ben Strevens and the club now begin the hunt for his replacement.
A statement read: “Eastleigh Football Club can today confirm that we have terminated the contract of First Team Manager Lee Bradbury and assistant manager Brian Stock with immediate effect.
“In the interim period, Richard Hill will oversee the first-team squad along with Jason Bristow.
“A full recruitment process will be undertaken following today’s decision to appoint a new management team.
“We would like to thank Lee and Brian for their commitment to the club during their year and a half tenure at Eastleigh FC and we wish them both all the best for the future.”
Aldershot go into the game on the back of a sensational performance at home to Wealdstone and manager Tommy Widdrington asked for more of the same when they hit the road on Monday.
