Last Tuesday, the Posh - who have a rich history of bringing in lower league talent - snapped up Welling United’s teenage striker David Kamara.
Then on Monday, they won the race for Player of the Year Chris Conn-Clarke, paying a club record sum to lure the Altrincham attacking midfielder to London Road.
Last night Peterborough completed a transfer hat-trick as they signed young defender George Nevett from Rochdale on a four-year contract.
The 18-year-old Wales Under-19 international moves south after playing 34 times for Dale last season, with the EFL club’s owner Darragh MacAnthony confirming on social media that he has written a six-figure cheque.
"Given where I was a year ago it really is a dream come true to be sitting here about to play at this level," Nevett told his new club’s website after signing.
.
"When I look at young players like Ronnie Edwards who came here from Barnet at a similar age to me, I really do have role models for what I am looking to achieve in my own career."
Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson said the League One club had watched Nevett closely last season.
He said: "We think he has massive potential to succeed at this level. I’m looking forward to seeing him progress his game in a Posh shirt."
