It's A Busy Night Of National League And FA Trophy Action

By Sam Elliott

With National League, FA Trophy, National League Cup and National League South and North action coming on a busy Tuesday night, there’s something for everyone!

The frantic festive period isn’t too far away so before it all starts, there’s some important cup matters to be addressed and some league points earned.

After the fourth round draw was made, the ties not yet settled will be over the next few days. Here’s all you need to know about what it means for tonight’s third round games.

We’ve got four re-arranged National League fixtures being played - and there are some long trips to make.

Ebbsfleet United fans are used to agony this season with the team rooted to the bottom of the table, but when their recent visit to AFC Fylde was called off minutes before kick-off, they must have wondered if they’ll ever catch a break.

They try again at Mill Farm later hoping for better weather and better fortune.

Sutton United fans are at least hitting the road with their side back in the groove. FC Halifax Town know a win could take them into the play-offs.

Altrincham are also aware three points could push them into the top seven but Wealdstone have won their last two at home. Solihull Moors need to be better in front of their fans but Aldershot Town have just one away win to their name all season.

A win for Weston-super-Mare at Hampton & RB takes them back to the top of the National League South.

There’s a battle of Hertfordshire when Boreham Wood welcome St Albans City and Tonbridge Angels look to close the gap on the play-off places Enfield Town look to move off the bottom of the table.

Curzon Ashton have the chance to move clear in the National League North.

They are the only side in the top seven in action and head to Warrington Town. Alfreton Town know a home win against Marine may be enough to take them back into the play-offs.

Hereford will grab one if they leave Darlington victorious. Brackley Town also have a difficult away game miles from home and go to Scarborough Athletic as they look to move into the promotion places for the first time this season.

South Shields will fancy their chances of adding to the 11 goals they’ve scored in their last three games. Rushall Olympic arrive bottom of the table and without a manager or league win since October 5.
