Iron In No Hurry To Get Their Business Done Too Quickly

Bradley Quinton says the club’s promotion has still not sunk in and hopes most of his squad go back to the National League with Braintree.

The club have been quiet since winning promotion with ins and outs yet to be announced.

But Quinton says that doesn’t mean anyone at Cressing Road are putting their feet up.

The club are working hard on a new sponsorship deal and the boss hasn’t yet got his final budget for next season.

The Iron are back in the top tier after just one season in the National League South and Quinton says nobody should be concerned about the lack of activity.

“It’s still not sunk in that we have managed to do it, even some time after,” said the Braintree manager, whose side went up via the play-offs.

“We haven’t announced anything yet but there’s no hurry. I’ve got a great bunch of players here and they have been fantastic.

“We need to be ready for the step up and I’m sure we’re going to be. We’re busy, and we’re chatting to players all the time.

“But they’ve got to be the right ones. We once again won’t be one of the big spenders so the signings we do make have to fit.”
