Iron Fist! Brad's Glad About His Side's Mental Strength

Bradley Quinton “couldn’t have been more happy” with his young side’s response to a 5-3 set back last Tuesday.

The manager refused to have a pop at his players after that poor display at Rookery Hill and he says more calm approach will get them to where they need to be.

Overall it has been a great start for Braintree and they moved into 4th position thanks to the weekend’s 2-1 success.

It was Iron’s third win and Quinton sees progress, saying: “It’s not always easy playing against ten men and when Hampton lost a man I knew they would almost become even more difficult to beat!

“But the players kept patient and did what we wanted them to. I was really pleased we got back to winning ways straight away because you never know how a defeat like that will be handled.

“We gave away a sloppy goal in time added on but we had three players out and coped really well with that.

“Their attitude has been first class and they’ve already showed to the fans that they’re a group committed to the cause.

"Hopefully we can now stick some wins together.”

Braintree’s Bank Holiday weekend double header sees the club travel to Whitehawk before a home game with early leaders St Albans City.
