Injury Issues Are Stacking Up For Barrow's New Boss

By Sam Elliott

We will know soon the identity of Barrow's next manager but the new man is walking into a injury crisis.

Stand in manager Micky Moore has revealed inspiration defender Moussa Diarra is likely to miss the next two months.

Vanarama National League Barrow also have to do without hamstring victims Aid Yussuf and Jack Barthram for a sustained period.

In an interview with Paul Turner of the Barrow News & Mail, Moore let fans know the bad news.

"All three of them are out injured,” he said. “We will know more on Wednesday. Moussa has had a scan, Matt has the results, but he needs to speak to the specialist in terms of putting a plan together for Moussa.

“Jack is probably the best of the three of them, then Adi, then Moussa. Moussa looks like, potentially – and I don't want to tempt fate – he could be long-term. You're talking potentially eight to 10 weeks."

Barrow expect to name their new manager, or at least release more details, within the next 48 hours.

Moore wants the job and is hoping his plan for the future will be enough to earn him a contract until the end of the season at least.

The Bluebirds travel to Sutton United on Saturday looking to earn only their third victory of the season so far.
