In-Form Boro 'Relentless' In Bid To Climb Table

Dino Maamria was gushing with praise for his “relentless” Nuneaton Town side after a vital victory over FC United of Manchester.

Boro moved up to 16th in the National League North table and three points clear of the relegation places with a 1-0 victory at the LDJ Solicitors Stadium.

Ashley Chambers got the important goal to claim Nuneaton’s third win in four games as they look to climb away from trouble.

Maamria says his side were “brilliant” and the only disappointment was that the scoreline wasn’t more comfortable.

He told the club’s website: “We dominated the game from start to finish. We started pretty well, we just need to be ruthless and score more goals in these games.

“We were relentless today. We pressed them with great energy and good organisation. The team are motivated and we played on the front foot from start to finish.

“It is good sometimes to only win one-nil. It shows resilience, leadership and maturity for a young team to see games through like we did today.

“The performance was brilliant and the win was brilliant. In our last four we have won three and drawn one, that is a brilliant return and we keep building on that."
