'I'm Not A Magician' Says Money After Defeat

By David Richardson

Richard Money knows it won't be easy to turn Solihull Moors' fortunes around but following a heavy defeat at home to AFC Fylde, he reckons they're the best team in the Vanarama National League.

Fylde made it back-to-back wins with a fine 4-0 win - watch match highlights here.

Two goals in two minutes before half-time from Johnny Smith and Danny Rowe sucker punched Moors.

Sam Finley and Jack Muldoon both netted 15 minutes from time to give Fylde the perfect away day win and Money was left purring at the visitors' performance.

He said: "The positives I drew out of it is that we got three points on Tuesday at Eastleigh. I see people around the place looking at me as though I've got two heads, I'm not a magician. We are where we are in the league for a reason.

"I said it from day one: we'll lose, we'll win, we'll lose, we'll win and it's how you react after a loss. When I watched Wrexham vs Fylde this week having come off the pitch at Eastleigh where you think 'can we back it up with another win?'

"I said to them myself 'this is the worst team to be playing this weekend'. They are the best team in the league in my opinion. I've seen 16-18 teams now and that's the best team by quite some stretch.

"Our front three weren't allowed to do anything. Every time today they had a defender tight, we couldn't do anything. Their shape in midfield was tough to play through. Try to play over the top - no space. The third goal, magnificent. I'd be doing cartwheels if I was on their touchline. That's a proper, proper team, who defended well."
