I'll Turn It Around Vows Darlo Manager Wright

Frustrated Darlington manager Tommy Wright has vowed to turn the club’s fortunes around following defeat at Gainsborough Trinity.

Darlo were leapfrogged in the table by Trinity after the 3-1 defeat at the Northolme and they are only outside of the relegation zone on goal difference.

The club have won just once in the National League North since Wright’s appointment in late October and a run of four defeats in five League games has been tough to take.

Wright went over and had a frank discussion with the travelling Darlo fans after the Gainsborough defeat and he insists he’s the right man for the job.

He told the club’s Youtube channel: “We desperately need three points. We keep saying the right things and have the right intentions but something isn’t quite clicking.

“Individuals have held their hands up and taken responsibility but we’re not learning from the errors.

“The fans are obviously frustrated and I’m also frustrated. I heard what the general feeling was, I agree with some of it and disagree with others.

“People have got to give me a little bit of time. Injuries have killed me a bit today. I’m honest, I’m hard working and I will get this right.”
