The striker signs from Maidenhead United where he made 33 appearances and scored five goals.
The 28-year old moves with experience after previously playing for York City and Barnet who are part of the long list of clubs that he has been involved with.
Cards manager Alan Dowson said that Hyde fits the plan that the club has going forward and fits the bill of the type of player that he was looking for.
“Obviously we need someone who's played higher, I'm confident that he'll fit in our plans and confident he'll score goals,” Dowson commented.
Hyde, who is a former England C International believes that joining the National League South club was an easy decision because of the direction the club is going in.
“Every player wants to be at a club with great potential and has aspirations to go forward and achieve things,” the striker said.
“I never set personal targets, but to score as many goals as I can and help the team get promoted would be great,” he added.
Hyde joins 10 other signings this summer by the new manager Alan Dowson including Nick Wheeler who joined from Billericay Town and Ian Gayle from Wealdstone.
