Hyde Moves to Stevenage

Vanarama National League newcomers York City striker Jake Hyde has signed for Sky Bet League Two side Stevenage.

The 6’1” striker started his career at Swindon Town but sprung to prominence with Barnet, scoring 32 goals over two spells.

The 26-year-old forward still had a season left to run at Bootham Crescent on his three-year contract, but was deemed surplus to requirements by manager Jackie McNamara at the end of last term.

Hyde managed just 9 goals in fifty-six outings during an injury-ravaged career with City.
