Hughes Won't Give A Second Thought To Title Rivals

Bryan Hughes isn't getting carried away despite his Wrexham side being top of the National League.

The Dragons are unbeaten under Hughes so far and have climbed back to the summit.

Currently top by two points from Solihull Moors, Hughes is wary of the challenges being the leaders presents.

“Once you’re top of the league, you’re there to be caught and we need to be mindful of that," he told the club's website. "All we can do now is concentrate on what we’re doing.

“It’s all about us and our focus and us building momentum. The next team up is Chesterfield, and we need to deal with them.

“We just have to approach it the way we have done, focus on us, and hopefully that will be enough."

After three games on the road, the Welsh side entertain Chesterfield at The Racecourse Ground this Saturday.

Hughes is hoping the fans can play their part in what he hopes to be another three points.

He said: “It’s good to be back home after the long journeys and hopefully we’ll get a good attendance."

“We’re sitting proudly top of the league and hopefully the fans can come out and make a lot of noise for the players and we can have a response."
