Howells About It! Jake Joins Up With Billericay Town

Billericay Town have made a big signing as they prepare for life in the National League South.

Former Luton Town man Jake Howells has agreed to play for the Essex club next season.

He signs from Dagenham & Redbridge in a day of departures for Peter Taylor’s team.

Howells at 27 still has so much to offer and the Blues will begin next season as one of the favourites for promotion.

They have made a number of impressive including experienced Simon Walton and striker Moses Emmanuel.

Meanwhile the fans have received some bad news - their pre-season friendly with Cambridge United is off.

Next month’s match was expected to draw a four-figure crowd but the game with the League Two club is off as it “falls to close to their trip to Northern Ireland.”
