Howell Calls For Sports To Find Their Cutting Edge

Eastbourne Borough boss Jamie Howell knows his side have to become more clinical if they are to climb away from trouble in the National League South.

The Sports picked up a point against play-off chasing St Albans City on Saturday but it extended their winless run to four games.

Howell’s side currently sit 15th in the table and are nine points clear of danger but the boss knows that they need to start taking advantage when they’re on top on the pitch.

“The lads have shown a real desire to work hard for each other,” Howells told the club’s YouTube channel.

“I was pleased with a point against a good side in St Albans as our home form hasn’t been too great recently.

“You need to score when you’re on top. We sometimes get one but need to start scoring two because then you can relax a little.

“With our form in recent weeks, we’re a little bit apprehensive and you can see that with the boys but I can’t fault their efforts.”
