Hendon has caught the eye of the Boro boss with some impressive performances for the Rebels over the past few years and moves to Priory Lane for the forthcoming season.
Hendon (pictured), who recently completed a week-long trial at Jamie Vardy’s V9 Academy in Manchester, made his Worthing debut in January 2014 having been signed from Lewes before going on to be an almost ever-present, making over 150 appearances in his three and a half years at the club.
Howell further added to his defensive unit as Matt Drage moves to Priory Lane.
The centre-back joins from Dulwich Hamlet - a club that pushed Howell's Bognor Regis Town side all the way in the Ryman Premier last season - losing out late in the play-off final.
Drage obviously caught the eye - and now moves into the National League South with The Sports.
In two seasons at Champion Hill, the 25-year-old was a popular figure and a huge contributor to Hamlet's two impressive league campaigns and their breath-taking run to the semi-finals of the Buildbase FA Trophy.
Previously he had time at Kingstonian.
