Housham: No Excuses For Ferriby Loss

North Ferriby United returned to the National League North with a bump as they lost 4-0 to Curzon Ashton

The Villagers found themselves two nil down after only seven minutes and it did not get any better for them, writes Tom Feaheny.

After the defeat Housham admitted that the poor start left them facing the losing battle.

"We gave ourselves a mountain to climb after conceding those early goals.

"We were poor defensively today. All four goals were avoidable."

A number of new signings made their debuts for the team, as they look to be competitive in the division this season.

And the Ferriby boss though believes their were some positives to take from their performance that they can use as they look to gain their first points against Harrogate Town during mid-week.

“On the positive side, we did play some good football and created chances. Their keeper made one great save that could have made a difference.

He added: “In the end we just did not do enough and we have to re-group for Tuesday against Harrogate.”
