Hodges`s men lost 2-1 at Treyew Road, despite taking a 26th minute lead through Cody Cooke.
Bath went on to win with goals from loanee Connor Lemonheigh-Evans and Anthony Straker.
Hodges said: "Obviously it was disappointing to see us lose for the first time this season.
"We certainly didn’t deserve to lose the game; I felt that we battled well and it was an even contest whereby we created the better of what few chances there were.
"It was a frustrating way to lose the game, particularly after we worked so hard and restricted our visitors to very few opportunities. We just couldn’t find an equaliser.
"What it does prove is how fine the margins are in this League. There were a lot of positives to come out of the game and we will need to take that work ethic into Saturday's game.
"It was fantastic to see such a large and vocal crowd in attendance. It’s a shame that we couldn’t produce the required result, but I am sure that you all appreciated the efforts of the players.
"The main thing now is that we regroup and be ready to go again in our next game".
