Hodges A Happy White Tiger As His Truro Win Again

Truro City secured their fourth win in a row this afternoon and their players were hailed by manager Lee Hodges.

A stunning 7-2 win vs troubled Whitehawk only added to the bottom club's woes.

The White Tigers gnawed at the Hawks and City are now flying up to fourth as their great start to the season continues.

Manager Hodges isn't surprised by how well the club are doing.

"It was a really good performance - it is not easy to win four games in a row," he said after. "I felt that it was a job well done - we looked lively and full of energy.

"You can only beat what is in front of you. It was important that we started the game right and we were able to do that.

"We had great movement on and off-the-ball and managed to get two early goals.

"After seeing our visitors pull a goal back, we managed to get a crucial third and we spoke at half-time about how crucial that was.

"I asked the boys to be ruthless after the break and they did just that for me to score seven goals," Hodges told the club's official website.

"The only disappointment was the goals that we conceded; it was sloppy play, but we'll learn from it.

"It's about rest and recovery now so that we are ready to go again on Tuesday evening against Chippenham Town.

"We'll go out there focussed and with the right attitude, so if we keep doing the right things, we'll give ourselves every chance."
