Hill: Shot Shy Spitfires Need To Show Me More Up Top

Eastleigh manager Richard Hill needs more in the final third from his players if they are to challenge for promotion.

The Spitfires went down 1-0 to Boreham Wood on Tuesday night meaning they couldn't build on their last game at Hartlepool, a match which they won 2-1.

Hill wasn't happy that his team offered little after going a goal behind as they dropped points in Hertfordshire. Watch Match Highlights Here.

He expecting more from his attacking players but felt his team perhaps didn't enough not to lose at Meadow Park.

Hill wants his players to get their forward play together when they travel to Wrexham for the live BT Sport game on Saturday.

He said: "We didn't offer enough in the final third and that's the big frustration.

"It's not like my teams, we didn't grab the game by the scruff of the neck and we didn't ever look like we were going to score.

"Defensively we weren't too bad. They didn't overrun us but for the goal yes we should be cutting the cross out before it gets into our box.

"We had to do more in their box, I didn't think we looked like a side that was going to take the game to them and we have got to going forward.

"I think we are better than what we showed. Hopefully over the next few games we prove that."
