That came on the back of a solid 0-0 draw at Bromley on the opening day of the new season at Hayes Lane.
Next up for Eastleigh it’s Dagenham and Redbridge who have won both their games and Hill thinks things are starting to really add up for the Spitfires who have yet to let in a goal.
“I think we are seeing a group of players who want to play for the club and are here for no other reason than to be successful,” he said.
“We’re starting to see the benefit of hard work and players who want to be here which can only be a positive thing moving forward.”
Eastleigh won the game when Ben Williamson scored after nearly an hour of play at the Silverlake Stadium.
Hill was happy with how his team defended their lead against a Sutton side who beat Leyton Orient on Saturday.
“It’s an important season for the club and we are happy with the start,” added the manager.
