Hignett Says Experienced Recruits Will Be Key For Hartlepool

By Tom Feaheny

The Director of Football at Hartlepool United Craig Hignett says there is plenty of talent at the club already.

He believes more experienced characters are needed at the side though.

Like many sides the Pools are looking at present to strengthen their squad.

“We have some really good players here but they are going to need guiding,” Hignett told the Hartlepool Mail.

“If we get the right people in to guide them then we’re going to have an exciting team.

“You have to treat people properly for a start, like getting paid on time, if you do that then players haven’t got a grumble, they can go out and play. On top of that you have to find the right characters.”
