A first clean sheet since 9th September for the Spitfires saw the side gain a point which halted a losing run at three matches, writes Tom Feaheny.
"The clean sheet is something that we have been working on for the past few sessions, so the clean sheet is pleasing," Hessenthaler told the club's website.
"We have been on a great run then hit a tricky spell, so it is a sign of progression."
Eastleigh are next away at another side in the bottom quarter of the table, with Hessenthaler having these thoughts on their opponent.
"Barrow are a lot like FC Halifax Town in the sense that they are fighting to stay up, I know Ady (Pennock) really well, I know what he gets out of his sides, so it will be a battle for us."
