Hessenthaler: Eastleigh Can Start New Unbeaten Run

Andy Hessenthaler says he is not disheartened after his side lost for the first time with him in charge and look to start a new one tomorrow.

A 2-0 defeat against Boreham Wood meant the Spitfires lost for the first time in 2018, they are next up against Chester tomorrow, writes Tom Feaheny.

"It was disappointing to see the run come to an end but we have to move on and look to another unbeaten run," Hessenthaler said to the club's website.

"I can't be critical of the lads, we have lost one game in ten matches and even took more positives than negatives despite the loss."

That previous unbeaten run moved them away from the drop zone and towards mid-table and Hessenthaler says they can do it again.

"We have to look ahead now and we know we can go on another unbeaten run.

"The quality and application has been shown by the group, so I am confident."
