Hess Express Is Really Up And Running At Dover Athletic!

When Dover appointed their new Manager back in October, many questioned why.

Not why him. Andy Hessenthaler had a close infinity with the club and clearly knows what he is doing.

No, they wanted to know why he would leave a side doing so well for one struggling so badly.

The answer, he said, was because he was coming home - and that it was an SOS he had to answer.
Hessenthaler sacrificed Eastleigh’s promotion push for a battle at the bottom because of his love for the place.

April saw him complete what at one stage looked like mission impossible. He took over with the Whites already looking shot, winning just once in their first 15 matches.

He said he would turn it around and turn it around he did.

Last month it was mission accomplished, winning four of their last five and taking 13 points from a possible 15 available.

Their survival was probably known before their incredible ending but they did it in dramatic style.

Going 2-0 down at Barrow, their final 15-minute fightback saw them win to seal salvation.

It was job done, and made the eight-hour trip home fly by!
