Steve King will take over at Park View Road following his departure from Whitehawk.
He signs a two-year deal and says he has agreed to take over to help the club battle for promotion next season.
The former Lewes and Macclesfield manager almost inspired the Hawks to survival last season but the club fell short.
He took over an transformed their fortunes but their great form in 2018 ultimately arrived too late.
He wants to be fighting at the right end of the Vanarama National League South table next season.
The Wings made a change at the end of the season after missing the play-offs.
Player-boss Jamie Coyle left the role, before taking over as joint manager of Kent rivals Dartford.
“We are delighted to announce that Steve King has taken the position of manager at the club on a two-year contract,” read a club statement.
“King has a wealth of experience at Non-League level listing Whitehawk, Macclesfield, Lewes and Farnborough amongst his former clubs.
“King’s CV also includes various play off campaigns and cup success, notably taking Macclesfield town to the Fourth Round of the FA Cup in 2013, for the first time in the club’s history. Steve will be announcing his backroom team in due course.”
