He's Beckwith His Old Gaffer! Dean Signs On For Hawks

Paul Doswell has made his first signing since joining Havant & Waterlooville.

Experienced defender Dean Beckwith joins Doswell in making the switch from Sutton United.

Beckwith was ever-present at Gander Green Lane and has previously won the National League South twice.

"I'm delighted to get that signing over the line," Doswell told the club's official website.

"When I knew that Dean wasn't going to be offered a contract by Sutton, I was straight on the phone to him, a very easy conversation because I know him well and he knows me well so he will do very well for this Football Club that's for sure.

"He's worked for me for nearly four years now and you can count the mistakes on your fingers really," he added. "He'll bring that experience and a real calmness to the backline."
