The Crusaders manager is surprised pro clubs haven’t ever taken a chance on one of Hungerford’s players.
He says there is young talent coming through - but as yet no opportunities have been given.
Herring thinks that should change and he is determined to help talented players progress up the ladder over the coming years.
He told us: “I don’t know why it is, but for some reason Hungerford have yet to have a player who had properly progressed.
“That is one of the things I would like to see change. There’s no reason why not, the area has a lot of very good players - they need to be seen.
“I am passionate about helping players progress, I think by helping them do that the club will really benefit.
“Of course we want to keep our best players but that’s a big part of the game.”
