Here's Your November National League South Award Winners!

By Sam Elliott

The race at the top of the National League South is gripping this year - but the title chasers all sit out November’s awards hand out.

But if Eastbourne Borough carry on like they are, they may soon enter in the championship conversation.

So good have the Sports been that they have gone from looking over their shoulders with dread to being within touching distance of the promotion places.

The club came into the month on the back of four straight defeats and were two points above the relegation zone.

They beat Cheshunt, St Albans, Hemel Hempstead and Slough Town in the league and also sent Ebbsfleet United packing in the FA Trophy.

Only two sides scored more than they did in November, and only two teams conceded less.

Danny Bloor did an incredible job getting the club into the play-offs last season after a slow start and he claims the Manager of the Month award.

They are certainly involved again this season and a month to remember has seen them cement a challenge.

St Albans City have a new lease of life, and it’s not just down to a change in the dug-out.

Ian Allinson left Clarence Park after six successful years with David Nobel coming in earlier this season.

They started last month with an eye-catching 6-0 demolition Hampton & RB and it wasn’t just the strikers in form.

Left wing-back Tafari Moore was tremendous as he scored twice inside a few minutes - and has produced in pretty much every game since.

Excellent in attack and defensively, the 25-year-old former Arsenal prospect looks like he is finding the levels again.

It helps when your team-mates are doing the business.

St Albans also beat Slough Town, Weymouth and Bath City - and the team are very much in the promotion hunt after a difficult first few months.

Congratulations to both Tafari and Danny!
