Here's Everything That Happened On Tuesday Night

By Sam Elliott

Tuesday night provided plenty of entertainment with National League action as well as plenty of cup matches.

Tamworth show no signs they are going to struggle this season in their new surroundings - and a win against promotion hunting Gateshead proved just that.

The Lambs recovered from a testing few results to record a 2-1 victory, midfielder Nathan Tshikuna and Dan Creaney put them out of sight. A late Callum Whelan goal couldn’t spark a recovery.

Worthing moved into the top half of the National League South with a 1-0 win over Welling United. Mo Faal’s goal snatched the three points.

There was National League Cup action too - and the goals are not drying up!

After 34 in the first eight games, another six arrived on Tuesday night as Altrincham and Blackburn Rovers drew 3-3.

The Robins bagged a bonus point on penalty kicks and manager Phil Parkinson was happy with his team’s efforts.

There was FA Cup action too and Alfreton Town are safely though.

A 6-0 win over Biggleswade Town was convincing, Liam Waldock iced the cake with a wonder goal.

The Reds will play Spennymoor Town in the fourth qualifying round.
