Here It Is! National League South Team Of The Weekend

By Sam Elliott

Just when we thought it would be easier to name the National League South Team of the Weekend thanks to there being just eight matches, our selectors soon found out that was far from the case!

There’s so much to consider when piecing together a side who have performed the best for their clubs on Saturday.

There’s no room for error - and that’s why we make sure we take the best advice possible before announcing the squad of 16 plus the day’s best manager. This week we've gone with a top heavy team as the goals flew in.

We pick the brains of club officials, managers and reporters around the grounds to make sure our team is as close to perfect as possible.

But as well all know football is a game of opinions - we rarely all agree!

So join the debate on twitter @TheNationalLge and let us know if you think we’ve missed someone special.

Few would have given Oxford City hope against title chasing Billericay - especially with the Blues’ home form so strong. But they came out on top 3-2 by taking the game to them, and pushed Dean Brennan’s men down to fourth in the process.
