Heath Sure His Halifax Were Owed Their Shift In Luck

Billy Heath believes FC Halifax Town’s slice of good fortune at Aldershot on Saturday has been a long time coming.

The Shaymen have struggled for form in the past new months in the Vanarama National League.

Heath says his team haven’t been as poor as their results - but was thrilled to put that right in Hampshire. Watch Match Highlights Here.

Scott McManus’ goal secured a valiant 1-0 win at the Shots and Heath for the first time in 12 matches.

The boss said: “I am happy to hold my hands up and say we got a little lucky but when you consider the situation I think maybe we deserved that.

“We half an awful lot of players missing, I struggle to remember anything like it. We have hardly been able to train.

“So when you come to places like Aldershot you have got to get your discipline right. We needed everyone knowing what their job was and they did it fantastically well.

“That win has been a long time in coming and I think because of how good a side Aldershot are this is a massive three points.”

Heath added: “Now we want to take this forward and get on a winning run.”
