Heath Praises 'Fantastic Week' As Reds' Run Goes On

Billy Heath has been thrilled with his side recently, and said his players were 'magnificent' over the Bank Holiday period, writes Tom Scott.

The Reds have won four in five and are currently on a three match winning streak.

It's the kind of form that can give you real confidence at this early stage in a season and Heath couldn't hide his delight after the Reds beat Southport on Monday.

"We were totally dominant first half," he told the club's website.

"We could've been two or three up but we only got the one.

"We knew what was coming in the second half but we didn't get going for the first 20 minutes.

"When you're under pressure, you find out what spirit and desire you've got. But we've responded again.

"It's been a fantastic week, the players have been magnificent once again. They've worked so hard today.

"We've got three wins on the spin but also back to back wins over two difficult games," he added.
