Heath: Perfect Day For Shaymen

FC Halifax Town gained victory in the Yorkshire derby against Guiseley by beating them 2-0.

Billy Heath praised his side after the three points were secured thanks to goals from Matty Kosylo and Matt Brown, writes Tom Feaheny.

The Town boss afterwards praised what he had seen.

"It was just a really good performance, we had that sense of control in both boxes, I feel we played to a high-level today and have momentum now with those two wins.

"I wouldn't have minded a bad performance with a good result but when you get both you have to be proud."

The first goal was a fine strike by Matty Kosylo, with Heath praising what he brought to the team.

"He has been a bit unlucky in certain games because it is a wonderful goal and we know he has that ability to be able to beat men and has that shot accuracy, so to do it today was good for him."

They next face Gateshead on Monday with Heath hoping they can build off he back of it.

"It's another clean sheet, two forwards have scored in the past two games and we know how tough Gateshead are especially at their place so we want to be taking all these good things and using them for Monday."
