The powerful forward joined Chesterfield on Tuesday, months after signing for the Reds.
Heath couldn’t stand in the 29-year-old’s way of a return to full-time football despite being saddened by his departure.
But in an interview with the Derbyshire Times, Heath says that the National League North club have enough quality to cope.
“We won’t rush into anything; we have fantastic forwards at the football club all with bags of quality and we will take our time,” he told them.
“Yes it’s disappointing but you look at where we are after nine games, we’re in a great position in the league and we want to continue that.
“The squad is strong and remains strong and we’ll focus firmly on Chorley at the weekend.”
Heath added: “Tom is 29 now. It’s his last chance to be involved in full time football. He’s been great for me at every club we’ve been together at.”
