Tranmere Rovers eased to a 3-1 win at the Shay last weekend and it left the hopeful Shaymen feeling glum.
But Town are very much in the mix for a promotion place after a strong start since coming up via the Vanarama National League North play-offs in May.
There’s no talk of consolidation with the club just a point off of the top seven. They can get back into the pack if they can get back to winning ways.
In fact, hopes that they can play a big part in the shake up will only increase if they get the better of bottom club Torquay United on Saturday in Yorkshire.
“The main disappointment with the Tranmere game was that we didn’t reach the levels we know we can - we didn’t perform how we usually do and we didn’t work hard enough,” explained manager Billy Heath.
“But as frustrating as it is to be out of the FA Cup, we’ve still got to remember it’s been a positive first few months of the season and we’ve got a lot to play for in the months ahead.
“The players have been fantastic so far and on Saturday we need to get back to what we know we are and hopefully get another important three points.”
Heath added: “Hopefully we can show the supporters that the Cup game was a one-off.”
