The Shaymen are stuttering and have lost form after being one of the teams at the top of the Vanarama National League last month.
Heath’s team are now six games without a win after going down 4-2 at Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.
It meant Rovers leapfrogged them in the table - and the Town manager is concerned at the matter in which his side are letting teams play.
Heath told us: “Saturday wasn’t great for a number of reasons. We’re in one of those periods and we need to get out of it as soon as we can.
“We are making mistakes all the time and sides aren’t having to earn goals against us. That can’t go on.
“We need to strip it back and return to how things were a few weeks ago. Saturday from start to finish we were poor and we need to find a way to start performing again.
“If we have to start being ugly then so be it. We need to stop teams playing and we need to do it quickly.
“We need to go back to where we were before the start of this run and remember what made us a good side.”
Heath added: “We are too open and teams are exploiting that.”
