Heartbroken Chorley Want An FA Cup Legacy

By David Richardson

After attracting a bumper crowd of 3,521 for their televised FA Cup first round tie at home to Fleetwood Town on Monday, Chorley want to draw back those fans this Saturday.

The National League North club are offering reduced entry to this weekend's fixture against Nuneaton Town for those who produce an FA Cup ticket or souvenir programme from Monday's tie.

Adults taking advantage of the offer will be admitted for £10 with concessions at just £7. Any Football League season ticket holder from another club will be also let in for the same reduced admission.

Chorley FC Chief Executive Dave Riche said: “We would like to thank everyone who attended the game last night and we hope that it helps us to continue to grow our fanbase.

“With Saturday being an international break we are also hopeful of a few supporters from other teams also coming down to see what we have to offer here at the Chorley Group Victory Park Stadium.

“On Saturday we want to see how many of the faces from Monday night will come back again and hopefully they can see the strides we are making both on and off the pitch to take Chorley FC to the next level.”
