Head Still Head The Table After Another Eventful Afternoon

Gateshead continue to lead the way in the National League after defeating promotion hopefuls Barnet, the Heed’s fourth win from four at home.

Boston United killed some accumulators - Jacob Hazel’s double and a Zak Mills goal earned a brilliant win in south London.

Ebbsfleet continue to struggle and four different players got on the scoresheet as they were flattened at Altrincham.

In the enhanced DAZN game, Kairo Mitchell and Devante Rodney did real damage to Aldershot as impressive Rochdale move up to third spot in the table.

There were no goals as Hartlepool United and FC Halifax and Braintree and Woking fired blanks.

But there was plenty of entertainment at AFC Fylde whose two goals in the first half from Nick Haughton weren’t enough with Yeovil Town eventually winning, Dominic Bernard grabbing a dramatic 4-3 win three minutes from time.

It finished 1-1 when Oldham Athletic met Southend United and when Maidenhead United played Dagenham & Redbridge.

There was a first National League South win and a first goal for Weymouth.

They left Dorking Wanderers 2-1 winners, Calvin Brooks and Jake Scrimshaw on target.

Slough Town’s incredible year-long undefeated home run is over - leaders Hemel Hempstead stay up as they stunned the Rebels, Kyle Ajayi hit the winner.

Gene Kennedy made the game safe for Welling United, they clipped Torquay United and a fine 2-0 win will please Rod Stringer.

Kwesi Appiah earned a valuable point for Boreham Wood as they drew 1-1 with Hampton & RB.

Aaron Blair’s hat-trick got Maidstone United back on track as they left Enfield Town 4-1 winners.

Elsewhere it was a great day for Chesham who stunned Aveley with an incredible late two-goal turn around, Chelmsford City. after their big win over Bath City and for Eastbourne, left Truro City 1-0 winners after Alfie Pavey’s goal.

Scunthorpe United’s National League North advantage was reduced to four points.

The Iron drew 1-1 at home to Warrington and many of the chasers won. Curzon Ashton left King’s Lynn Town 2-0 winners, Isaac Buckley-Ricketts made the points safe.

Chorley could be contenders, they beat Kidderminster 2-1. Mark Ellis completed the turn around.

Tom Peers was Chester’s match winner. The Seal saw off South Shields 1-0.

Elsewhere there were big wins for Brackley Town, Farsley Celtic, and Buxton in a day of many draws.
