Hawks Latest To Withdraw From Friendly Game

Havant & Waterlooville have become the latest club to be forced to pull out of a friendly match this week.

Lee Bradbury’s team picked up a high number of injuries during Saturday’s victory over Southern League club Farnborough.

Because of that, the Hawks have regrettably informed AFC Totton that they will not be able to fulfill their promise to play them on Tuesday evening.

Havant apologised online and said the measure was with a heavy heart.

The Vanarama National League South club aren’t the only one who have had to make a difficult decision over the past few days.

On Saturday night, North Ferriby United took the same step after playing Hull City. They said they couldn’t play Ossett Town due to their injury list.

Their manager Steve Housham said: “We’ve got to say sorry to Ossett as it’s not something we want to do but in football sometimes you need to look after yourself.”
