Hawks Hoping To ‘Arrest’ Recent Slide Against Met Police

Havant & Waterlooville manager Lee Bradbury hopes going back can help take his team forward.

The Hawks are on a miserable run in the National League, taking just two points from the last 18 available.

This weekend it’s the FA Cup and a chance to restore some confidence.

Havant travel to Step 3 side Met Police - a club they know well from their year in the Ryman Premier.

Bradbury hopes they can kick-start their season up the road from Hampton Court but he knows they won’t have it easy again the Boys In Blue.

“We have had a lot of frustrating days in the National League over the past four or five weeks,” the manager said.

“It’s the same old story a lot of the time - we’re playing well and just not getting our rewards.

“Against Gateshead we weren’t brilliant and we need to be stronger. We need to change our luck ourselves.

“The FA Cup gives us the chance to hopefully put that right. The club has a great history in the competition and we want another good run.”
