Ferriby drew 0-0 with Tamworth - and although the club have yet to win in front of their home fans the manager is pleased with progress.
It looked like a second season of struggle for the Villagers in the Vanarama National League North after they got off to an unconvincing start following relegation.
Defeats again Curzon, Harrogate, Alfreton and Brackley worried the manager.
But things quickly improved and they have picked up five points since.
"The desire out there, especially in the second half, was there for all to see," content manager Housham declared.
"Defensively, that epitomises what we have been about lately and what we have got to do.
"We lost our first three matches but now we have just lost one in our last four and that shows how positive things are now.
"I'm delighted for every single one of those players in our dressing room because they have put in another fantastic shift.
"We have now got to keep on moving forward and build on this good run of form."
Ferriby play Boston United on Tuesday night and the manager wants a second win of the season.
