The 21-year-old joins from League One Burton Albion – having scored 25 goals at Telford last season in the National League North. That’s after he scored 34 goals at Matlock Town the season before.
Speaking the Pools’ official website, manager Matthew Bates said it was Dinanga’s record last season stood out.
“He came to our attention when we were looking at the stats of strikers from the league below,” said Bates.
“He’s strong, quick and a bit raw given he’s only 21 but he does the basics really well and I can see him being a big asset for us this season.
“He did really well at Telford in what was a struggling side, with all respect to them, so we watched plenty of footage of him and liked the look of that and also spoke to several managers who came up against him last season who all gave positive reports.”
The striker adds even more firepower to Bates’ side who confirmed the return of Luke James to Victoria Road last week.
Dinanga could be in line to make his first appearance in a Hartlepool shirt against Spennymoor Town on Saturday.
