Harrogate Manager Weaver Is Making Plans For The Step Up

Harrogate Town manager Simon Weaver has announced which of his players are staying - and who is leaving.

Town will be playing Vanarama National League football next season after winning the Promotion Final against Brackley last month.

Staying with the club next season are striker Dom Knowles and impressive winger Joe Leesley.

Ben Parker, Josh Falkingham, Toby Lees, James Belshaw, Ryan Fallowfield, Warren Burrell, Jack Emmett, Liam Agnew, Lloyd Kerry, Jordan Thewlis, Mark Beck and George Thomson make up their squad for next season.

Defender Callum Howe is the only summer signing so far, joining from Port Vale.

Weaver says they must be ready for the challenges that are around the corner and aims to make a number of new signings.

To make room for those new faces, he has made the difficult decision to release a number of players.

Ben Middleton, Terry Kennedy, Jack Vann, Bailey Gooda, Marcus Day, Louie Swain and John McCombe have all left with CNG Stadium.

Striker Simon Ainge last week signed for Darlington.

“We would like to thank all seven players for their efforts while at Harrogate Town and wish them good luck in the future,” the club said.
