A 3-0 loss against League Two Morecambe saw Pools leave the competition in the first round, with Kevin Ellison's strike early on giving the hosts the advantage, writes Tom Feaheny.
“We started very poorly, it was very disappointing. I looked at the clock after seven minutes and the sting was out of the game after that," Harrison told the club's website.
“Then we’re pushing for an equaliser, we have to, it’s a cup game and it’s all a bit disjointed.
“I’ve said to the boys in there, whatever is done is done but I still want to watch the game to look at it again."
Once against Hartlepool were well backed and now move their focus onto Vanarama National League action next week.
“The massive bonus and all the players acknowledge it massively is if we can’t get ourselves ready to go to Boreham Wood next week and get 3 points for those fans who came today then there is something wrong."
