Harris Knows It's High Time The Tigers Had An FA Cup Run

Tim Harris took a trip down memory lane ahead of Gloucester City's return to the FA Cup this weekend.

But he knows it's high time the Tigers had a year to remember in the competition as well.

Long serving Harris has never taken the club beyond the fourth qualifying round before..

They have an awkward game with Hungerford Town to negotiate on Saturday as the Vanarama National League club take a break from league exertions.

“I’ve been fortunate enough as a manager to have some really great moments in the FA Cup” Harris told the club's official website.

"The exploits at Cinderford stick out as some of the best memories but what we wouldn’t give to have a good cup run this year.

“Everyone goes into the Cup and they’re all in the same boat, they want to have a good run. If you get on a good run it’s some more very welcome additional income to the club, especially for Gloucester City.

“It’s been a while since we had a really decent run in the Cup and why can’t this year be ours?”

City go into the game on the back of a draw with Hampton & Richmond on Monday, while Hungerford went down 2-1 to Bath City on the same night.
