Hanks Becomes a Permanent Tiger

By Steve Whitney

Vanarama National League North club Gloucester City have completed the permanent signing of....

....Joe Hanks, following the expiration of his contract at reigning National League champions Cheltenham Town.

Hanks joined the Tigers on loan towards the start of the 2015/16 season and was a mainstay in the heart of the midfield.

The 21-year-old made forty-one appearances last season, scoring twice and providing several important assists.

He came through the youth system at Cheltenham and made thirty-seven appearances for them in the 2014/15 season

Speaking about the move, Hanks said: “Obviously I know all the boys and all the staff so I’m really happy to have signed here and can’t wait for the season.

“I feel at home here and I’m looking forward to this season but also getting the ground back in Gloucester”.
