Hampton's Intrepid Dowson Set For Miles High Club!

If you feel tired and weary this weekend, have a little word with Hampton & Richmond manager Alan Dowson.

He took his team to Hungerford Town for yesterday's Vanarama National League South fixture.

Just two days later, the Beavers are on the road again and travel to Evesham to play Gloucester City for some Monday night football.

But that time on the motorway is nothing compared to his Sunday - he is now up in the North East competing in the Great North run!

Dowson will return on Monday before heading to the big match and the manager, whose side threw away a 2-0 lead to draw at Hungerford yesterday, can't wait.

He is running in aid of his old youth team in Gateshead.

The Hampton manager said: "This isn't the first time I have done something like this and I'm looking forward to it.

"I know it's going to be a very long three days - leaving for Hungerford on Saturday morning and getting home from the Gloucester game on Tuesday morning!

"I have had a lot of great support and it's for a great cause.

"Any donations are welcome and all the details can be found on the club's website and our twitter account.

"I'm looking forward to getting into bed on Tuesday when we get back from Evesham hopefully with three points in our back pocket!"
