The midfielder has scored in his last three Academy South Division matches in a team that has found the division to be a real challenge. He has taken on the role of captain, showing a wonderful attitude in his personal performance and in supporting others.
The 18-year-old signed senior team forms earlier this season and has been included in several matchday squads, including League matches and a trip to Yeovil Town in the FA Trophy.
On Jamie, first-team manager Gary McCann said: “Jamie has been a breath of fresh air and taken to being around the senior squad with complete ease.
“He has been the standout player in his age group fixtures and performed beyond his years when playing in the senior team. He is a credit to the Club and the Academy”.
In the classroom, Jamie has shown excellent commitment to his studies. He is reaching distinction level with his assignments and is always pushing himself to do better.
He has a 100 % attendance record and recently visited the Sky Sports Studios with his class as part of an extra curriculum session.
His knowledge has grown over the years and he applies this to his training and football – a great example of a player making full use of the information gained in the classroom.
The Club hope his journey inspires those around him to strive for similar success.
