Dagenham and Redbirdge became the first club to score a goal against a Halifax side playing away from home, running out 3-1 winners.
The newly promoted Shaymen have enjoyed a fine start to their season, picking up 18 points, but came unstuck yesterday afternoon.
Goals from Craig Robson, Corey Whitely and one from Scott Garner in his own net have the Daggers a 3-0 lead at half-time before Matthew Brown bagged a second half consolation.
“There we’re not many positives that we can take out of the day, the second best every department and we were beaten by the better side over 90 minutes," said Heath.
“I won’t deny that Dagenham are not a good team because they are but we let them play today which should not have been so easy for them.
“We let them get too far ahead in the game and we cannot afford this to happen, we should be doing better than that and the lads know it.
“We have to do better with the goals that we have let in. With the first one we can’t be done on a set piece, we’ve worked on it. The second goal, I think the lad was offside. I could be wrong but that was my initial thought and I’m sorry if I am but he looked off to me.
“I will have two decent sessions with the lads before Saturday to get them ready and we will aim to bounce back in the best feasible way.”
