The Cards' secured a vital win at Truro on Tuesday night to put them within a point of leaders Torquay.
And even though the Gulls also claimed a win on Tuesday, Dowson couldn't care less.
"People are coming off talking about Torquay winning but I’m not really bothered about that to be honest, they’re the last of my worries," he told the club's YouTube service.
"There’s 11 games to go, Torquay winning with three games to go becomes an issue."
"There’s going to be twists and turns so we’ve just got to do our jobs. If we win all of our games, we’ll be fine."
A first-half Armani Little strike was enough for Woking to claim all three points at Treyew Road.
Dowson admitted he wasn't sure if his side would find a way through. But in the end, they made the long journey worth it.
He said: "I’m delighted with the win, it’s a difficult place to come. We had to dig in and it was a great goal that won the game.
"I didn’t really feel as though we were going to score to be honest but when you come to places like this and it’s a seven-hour travel, it’s important that you get the three points."
